Pack Leader of The Week
Each week or so we gather together in our Tribal Council and either randomly
select or vote for (off) one of the remaining members of our classroom to be the
Pack Leader of the Week (P. L. O. T. W.) The honor / duties of the P. L.
O. T. W. include being the line leader, running errands, leading the Pledge of
Allegiance, distributing mail and lunch tokens, and getting a cold pop and candy
bar on their last day.
The Ultimate Survivor!
The suspense lasted until the last day when TBu and A.W.
ended after having an final oral argument session and a question & answer
session from the members of the jury. After the votes were counted, there
was still a tie! Thus, they battled it out in a supreme finale of the
Ultimate Survivor Challenge. They each had to run a timed physical
obstacle course coupled with needing to correctly answer 2 brain teasers.
Both contestants gave a fantastic accounting of themselves, and to show how
extremely close it was, a mere second separated the survivors, thus having TBu
earn the title of Ultimate Survivor! Congratulations on a successful year
filled with fun, learning, and lots of new experiences.

Good Luck in 6th grade Meyer Island Survivors!
The final Survivor is???
OR

What a cruel fate, voted off by her best friend A.W. J.D. made the
final three but was unable to convince her friend to vote off TBu in the final
tribal council. The final three competed in an immunity challenge that
required the students to play to the best of their ability, the
Didgeridoo. A.W. won immunity, and sided with TBu. Will this
strategy work out, or will the Meyer Island survivors vote along gender lines?

The unlucky bug hit "Red Wall" this week.
The voting was the closest ever, with the final deciding vote being cast by
"AW" being the one that sunk "Red Wall." "Red
Wall" had almost won immunity in a previous week with the
"Tetris" challenge, but fate caught up with him. Voting this
week should be fierce, with three remaining castaways vying for immunity.
Stay tuned!

The collective group of Survivors voted off one of their
own this week. "Hot Wheels" had been flying under the radar for
quite a while, but eventually she was noticed. Many people didn't feel too
bad, since she had already one a 12-pack of Mt. Dew for having Duke during the
March Madness Tournament.

The final Survivors are building alliances, and as
predicted, "What do you think this is a Holiday Inn?" was voted off
this week. There seems to be an immunity "curse" going around
where the prior week's winner of the immunity talisman becomes the next best
candidate for becoming Pack Leader. Tune in next week to see if "Red
Wall" gets the boot.

Well, it took a few weeks for the students to have a
chance to visit tribal council, but once they finally got there, the vote was
much closer than anticipated. On April 16th, Pennies, Nickels, and Dimes
didn't win immunity, but rather her best friend, "What do you think this is
a Holiday Inn?" won a close immunity challenge of squares. Even a
last minute Friday seafood snack consisting of Crab legs, shrimp, pistachios,
& peanuts didn't sway the votes of her fellow castaways. The voting is
getting down to the nitty gritty, with lots of politic-ing being completed by
the remaining Meyer Island members.

The P. L. O. T. W. for February 26 - March 2 is none other than a young lady
who became the Pack Leader as a result of the closest vote we've had on Meyer
Island yet! Immunity was won by Pennies, Nickels, and Dimes, otherwise
we'd have a different pack leader this week, according to rumor. Congrats
to our Pack Leader, the only student who has not gotten a single spelling word
wrong this year! Can you guess who she is?

The P. L. O. T. W. for February 19-23 is none other than a young man who has
the distinction of wearing a U of M jacket, yet being a huge MSU fan.
Immunity was won this week by #32 by being the last remaining survivor in the
Limbo Challenge. Good luck to the remaining Survivors! Congrats to
this week's winner! Can you guess who he is?

The P. L. O. T. W. for February 5-9 is #31. He was voted
"off" the island in a strategic move by his classmates. The
class informed everyone to vote for one member, but changed their votes at the
last minute to make #31 the new P. L. O. T. W. Congratulations!
Another special effect was used on the original photo. Can you tell it is
really him?

The P. L. O. T. W. for Jan 22-26 is #44. He was chosen randomly,
although he was the best dancer this week. Can you tell it is him
below?
