Pack Leader of The Week
Each week or so we gather together in our Tribal Council and either randomly
select or vote for (off) one of the remaining members of our classroom to be the
Pack Leader of the Week (P. L. O. T. W.) The honor and duties of the P. L.
O. T. W. include, but are not limited to, being the line leader, running
errands, leading the Pledge of Allegiance, distributing mail and lunch tokens,
and getting a cold pop (or juice) and candy bar (or healthy snack).

In and out, Congrats to PP for being our "New" PLOTW.

There are new tribes, and the "lucky pirate" is PP!
Congratulations on being voted back into the "game."

Congrats to our newest Pack Leader, CS. We had students
get a little "carried away" and the Black Bandits won immunity.
Congratulations!

The last challenge before break was quite puzzling, and the
Teal tribe won immunity by solving it first. Congratulations to MH, this
week's Pack Leader! Enjoy your PLOTW booty, rrrrrrr!

No pics this week of the jeopardy list challenge, but tribes
had an interesting time making connections between a list of items.
Congratulation goes out to the Black Bandits for winning a tie-breaker question
about Care Bears, narrowly beating out the Lightning Tribe. Congrats to GY,
this week's Pack Leader. Enjoy your PLOTW booty, rrrrrrr!

Our second immunity challenge was "Just Ducky." Tribe
mates needed to work together to load, aim, shoot, & "catch" the duckies.
The challenge lasted two rounds and ended with the Icebreakers winning immunity.
Congratulation on the excellent teamwork! Congratulations to the Copper
tribe, winning it's second immunity in a row. Congratulations also go out
to MFor, our 5th Pack Leader. Our second immunity challenge was "Just Ducky." Tribe
mates needed to work together to load, aim, shoot, & "catch" the duckies.

Well today's challenge was the sauerkraut & slingshot shoot-out.
As a "left-over" from our Halloween party, the kids had the opportunity to eat
some "Greasy Grimy Gopher Guts." They didn't HAVE to eat, but many
children did attempt to stomach the sauerkraut and sausage. Tribes were
awarded a water balloon for each successful member it had that ate the delicacy.
The second part of the challenge was shooting the water balloons at the mock
"Mr. Moyer."
It was close, but the skill and strength of Copper brought home the immunity for
the immunity challenge. Congrats to our 5th Pack Leader, AJC. Enjoy
your PLOTW booty, rrrrrrr!

The first ever soccer scooter shoot-out was a real treat, kids
were able to play aggressively on the scooters in a variation of soccer.
Some kids really enjoyed being able to sport their favorite teams colors as Mr.
Meyer recently purchased a ton of safety / bicycle helmets of M.S.U. and U of M.
Congratulations to the new Pack Leader, MD. Enjoy your PLOTW booty, rrrrrrr!

Only it was three at a time, on the infamous Ski-Walk Puzzle Challenge Challenge.
The Teal tribe won immunity again in a
fantastic race to the finish with the Black tribe. Congrats on another IC victory.
Big Congratulations go out to AS, our 2nd Pack Leader. Enjoy your PLOTW

Our first immunity challenge was taken right from an episode of Survivor. The "Balance Beam Switcheroo" provided the
kids with a great chance to practice their problem solving, critical thinking,
communication, and cooperation skills. Each tribe that went improved it's
strategies by observing their peers. In the end, it was the sure
footed-ness of the Purple tribe that helped them take the Immunity.
Congratulations on a successful effort by all the tribes! Congratulations
to our first Pack Leader, PJP! Enjoy your PLOTW booty, rrrrrrr!

We are learning about the 4 "C's" of Meyer Island. They
are cooperation, contemplation, calculation, and communication. This week
students participated in a breakout challenge. This
challenge involved moving the ball across the gym without any students using
their hands to touch it. It took ONE TRY, a feat never before
accomplished. Then they experimented with many different
ideas for challenges until we ran out of time! Following this challenge,
students partook of a tribal council. Each child shared how they
believed each other illustrated the 4 "C's" in completing the challenge, as well
as giving kudos to their peers.
