Pack Leader of The WeekEach week or so we gather together in our Tribal Council and either randomly select or vote for one of the remaining members of our classroom to be the Pack Leader of the Week (P. L. O. T. W.) The honor and duties of the P. L. O. T. W. include, but are not limited to, being the line leader, running errands, leading the Pledge of Allegiance, distributing mail and lunch tokens, and getting a cold pop (or juice) and candy bar (or healthy snack). The 2009 - 2010 Meyer Island CastawaysWeek 4 - Students have been working on learning to have high expectations for themselves for behavior and academics. They earned a challenge with the parachute, which turned into just plain having fun. Mini goals students should be setting for themselves are being prepared for class, staying organized, and being social at the proper times. Self-control for behavior is also a key to building our learning community. Click here to check our our parachute pics
Week 2 - This week students have been working very diligently on their MEAP preparation, so they earned a challenge as a reward for their good choices.! The Raging River Crossing Challenge incorporates teamwork, communication, cooperation, critical thinking, and lots of enthusiasm. The kids succeeded admirably, working together to overcome the obstacles they were presented with. Congratulations on a job well done! Early in week 1, getting to know you and sharing our goals for the academic year and beyond.
